Randall Lewis Seminar: Air Quality: With the region’s success in improving Southern California air, what does the future hold?
Dr. Barry Wallerstein, longtime executive officer of South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), now a Senior Policy Fellow at UCR's School of Public Policy will speaker Thursday, October 27th at the next Randall Lewis seminar.
A nationally known and widely recognized expert in environmental regulation and public policy, Dr. Wallerstein brings an expert view on historical trends in air pollution, current health impacts and what Southern California residents may experience in the future.
Dr. Wallerstein holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in biological science from the University of Southern California, and a doctorate (D.ENV.) in environmental science and engineering from UCLA. He served as the SCAQMD executive officer from 1997 through March 2016.
